There are many people with great reputations but only few of them are considered as inspiring leaders. Only those who could achieve outstanding work in their field and affects lots of people able to reach a reputation as inspiring leaders.
Among those few, Henry Kravis is one of the living examples of an inspiring leader. Henry Kravis is one of the most respected persons in business world. He is one of the founding partners of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Through this firm he is among the first who pioneered the development of private equity. Henry Kravis is widely known on his legendary private equity acquisition works including those that considered as the largest and most successful acquisitions in business history. To honor his outstanding leadership and his inspiring works, Claremont McKenna College through Kravis Leadership Institute initiated The Kravis Prize in 2006.
The Kravis Prize is an annual award for outstanding leaders in nonprofit sector. It is awarded to celebrate their best accomplishment that impacts millions of people around the world. With rigorous due diligence and selection process, The Kravis Prize is among the most prestigious awards on leadership. Since 2006, The Henry Kravis Award has been awarded to annual recipients who received $250,000 directed to nonprofit organization designated by the recipients. The Kravis Prize isn’t only celebrating a person’s great accomplishment but it also inspires nonprofit sector overall by lauding strong performance and sharing award recipients’ best practices with others. This also inspires more people around the world to be more concern on their community.
